Stop the Stigma 2024: A Celebration of Advocacy and Change
This year’s Stop the Stigma event was a powerful gathering dedicated to raising awareness and breaking down barriers surrounding mental health. We were honored to present Angela Padilla with the Stigma Buster award, created in honor of Rosalynn Carter, for her outstanding contributions to combating mental health stigma. We also recognized social worker Larry Schallert for his lifelong dedication to the mental health field and his unwavering commitment to supporting those affected by mental illness. Their advocacy continues to inspire change, and together, we move closer to a world where mental health is understood, supported, and respected.
